PRAYER FOR PEACE

The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
(Psalm 29: 11)

A pastor routinely prays every morning for the families and congregation he serves. In every prayer, he always asks God, so that God will grant peace to his entire family and congregation. He prayed specifically for families and congregations who were experiencing serious struggles in life. In his requests, there is one thing he regularly asks Allah for, namely, asking Allah to give him His peace. He believes that peace from God is the main force in this life.

This is also what the psalmist internalized in Psalm 29:11. The content of the prayer is a request to God. A prayer request that asks for peace from God. For the psalmist, peace is the strength to face all existing struggles. Because peace brings calm, hope and clarity of heart in living life with all the struggles that exist. To every person who asks for peace from God, rest assured that God will definitely provide it. Therefore, let us always ask God to always give us His peace. With that, we will be strong and steady through all existing struggles. Ask Him in our prayers! Peace from God will always be given to us. Do we truly appreciate how truly meaningful the peace that God gives is?
