A BRIEF HISTORY

Hana Senior Living is one of the ministry institution of Indonesian Christian Church – West Java Region (Gereja Kristen Indonesia Sinode Wilayah Jawa Barat), which was established to serve the Elderly based on the Light of Jesus Love, in order to have a life full of happy, healthy and prosperous in their old age.

The idea to establish a nursing home was initiated by a couple Tan Ngo Liong, when celebrating their silver wedding party in 1958. Then the idea was welcomed by GKI Samanhudi (formerly GKI Kelinci) by forming a Bethesda fundraising committee. After experiencing a journey that was full of struggles of joy and sorrow, then on January 27, 1976 the deed of the Hana Christian Senior Living Foundation (YPWK Hana) was formalized. Four years later, on March 16, 1980, YPWK Hana inaugurated the first stage of the construction of the nursing home in a thanksgiving worship.

After changing several times in legal status and changing of management, on 27 June 2014 the Hana Nursing Home Foundation was inaugurated. Nowadays Hana Senior Living has four residential pavilions with total 104 rooms and a medical ward Bethesda, with a capacity of up to 30 people.
