THERE’S ALWAYS HOPE

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.          (Eccl 9: 4)

Anna Mary Robertson Moses aka “Grandma Moses” just started painting at the age of 78. Her usual activity is embroidery but stopped because of arthritis. Her sister advised her to paint what she thought would be easier for her. As it turned out, the idea of painting was the beginning of Grandma Moses very successful painting career later on. Her works are exhibited and sold widely, including in museums. The world of painting was so interesting, even when his right hand started to hurt, he continued with his left hand.

Have you Senior ever thought about doing something but didn’t do it because you felt it was impossible? Do Seniors feel that at this old age it is no longer possible to realize a dream? The preacher says that a live dog is better than a dead lion! It means, as long as we are alive, we can still have a chance and hope. This hope will encourage us to dare to try new things. Like Grandma Moses who dared to open up new possibilities, let’s do it too. Who knows we will succeed in achieving amazing things.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank you for the life that You still bestow upon us. Let this be an opportunity for us to realize our hidden dreams. Amen
